Heather Fischer joined the Human Service Agency in December 2015 as a Mental Health Case Manager. She sees clients both in the office and in home settings mainly in the evenings and serving children and families. She also works for the Watertown School District as a Home-School Liaison for the Migrant Education Program.

Education: Heather graduated from Mankato State University in 2007 and is currently completing a MS degree at South Dakota State University.

Background: Heather has worked with populations that include children, teens, adults, elderly, crisis/sexual assault victims and survivors, and vulnerable adults in agencies, schools, and homes. She was a sexual assault crisis advocate for 3 years. She also worked for the Department of Social Services for two years, and she has been with the Watertown School District for four years. She enjoys crisis counseling and working with children. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, exercising, being outside and shopping.

Professional Affiliations: Heather is involved with South Dakota Counseling Association (SDCA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
